As a student of yoga and meditation, I consider myself:

  • DEEPLY INFLUENCED by the meditation teacher Sally Kempton. Also by master yoga teachers A.G. and Indra Mohan. And by my initial introductions to meditation in the Siddha Yoga tradition and asana in the Iyengar Yoga tradition, both in the 1980s.

  • GRATEFUL to have learned from many wise and gifted teachers including Patricia Sullivan, Jason Crandell, Richard Rosen, Desiree Rumbaugh, Angela Farmer, Gary Kraftsow, Rod Stryker, Shiva Rea and Seane Corn.

  • HUMBLED to have met and practiced with B.K.S. Iyengar and with T.K.V. Desikichar.

  • FORTUNATE to have been a student in the first-ever Mindfulness Yoga & Meditation Training at Spirit Rock Meditation Center in 2007, led by Anne Cushman, Janice Gates and Phillip Moffitt. Then in 2016, I completed an online mindfulness training with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach.

  • WELL TRAINED! After a lifetime of practice, I became a certified yoga teacher in 2018, (RYT-200), following a year-long, alignment-based teacher training led by Stacey Rosenberg and Sean Haleen.

Hello there! Here’s a bit about me: I am an executive at a startup, (our products help boards of directors perform more effectively), and a former journalist. I’ve practiced yoga and meditation since my teens and had the great fortune to study with a number of renowned master teachers during my years as Editor-in-Chief of Yoga Journal.
